FAQ

Are you a therapist or an attorney?

No. I’m a Life Strategist. I’m not a therapist, not an attorney, and not a generic coach. If you already have a therapist or an attorney, I work alongside them. My work is practical and strategic: home, wardrobe, hard conversations, and clear next steps.

Do you replace my attorney?

Never. When court is on the calendar, I help you stay brief, composed, and ready with dates and facts — how to keep it to the point, how to show up on time, how to hold composure, and even what to wear — always in support of your attorney, never in place of one. Clients who want to stretch their attorney fees often work with me so they’re prepared before they walk in.

What does a Life Strategist actually do?

I take whatever feels chaotic in your life and help you bring order and beauty back to it. At home, that means deciding what to keep, what to let go, what to sell, and what to refresh. In your wardrobe, it means a closet that fits who you are now and the confidence that comes with looking your best. In your relationships, it means conflict resolution: boundaries with exes, teens, siblings, in-laws, and coworkers, and using my mediation experience to get everyone to workable agreements while they stay cool. Most people come to me during a big transition, such as a divorce, a loss, a move, or two households becoming one, and I help you decide what comes next and in what order. Property division stays in my background for depth and credibility, from 15 years as a court-appointed personal property expert. It’s one tool I bring, not the whole job.

Who do you work with?

I spent years as a court-appointed neutral, working with whoever was in front of me — men and women, married or not — because the job was solving the issue, not taking sides. That hasn’t changed. Most of my private clients have been women navigating divorce, from the first uneasy questions through the decisions after. I also work with men after divorce or the loss of a wife — on confidence, wardrobe, and a home that feels clean, organized, and theirs again — and with couples moving in together or getting married who want practical agreements before resentment sets in. Families find me too — parents and teens who keep clashing, siblings who can’t get along, and adult children facing hard decisions about an aging parent.

Do you help with family conflict that isn’t about divorce?

Yes. Parents and teenagers who clash every day, siblings who keep fighting, tension with in-laws. I help everyone say what they actually need, agree on practical house rules, and settle disagreements before they blow up. I’m not a family therapist; if you already have one, I work alongside them.

What’s the difference between the fit call, the Strategy Session, and the home and wardrobe starting points?

The fit call is free and short (20 minutes). It’s for questions and scheduling, not strategy. The Strategy Session is usually your first paid step when you need a plan: a 90-minute session plus a written next-steps plan. The Home Walkthrough is the recommended starting point when the main need is the house — one visit, room by room, followed by a written plan with your next steps in the order I’d tackle them. For a lighter start, the Home Tune-Up is about two hours on the rooms you live in most, with a short punch list, and the Closet Edit is three hours in your closet with a list of what’s missing.

Do you still do appraisals or property division?

I was trained and formerly USPAP-certified as a personal property appraiser. Today I give informal guidance on value and refer formal appraisals out. Property division stays in my background for depth and credibility. I can also help families sort through a parent’s household belongings, and I offer informal conflict resolution for family disputes, quoted by project.

Do you work remotely, or only in the Bay Area?

Both. I work in the San Francisco Bay Area and remotely across the U.S. Home work is in person in the Bay Area, and shopping can be in person or online. Strategy sessions, check-ins, and many package elements work well by video. Video versions of the Home Walkthrough, the Home Tune-Up, and the Closet Edit are available for clients outside the area.

What will feel different after we work together?

Less clutter and more beauty at home. Clothing that makes you look and feel younger, stylish, and confident. A weight lifted when someone finally tells you exactly what to throw away, recycle, sell, or buy next. Clearer words — and the right silence — with an ex. And readiness for what comes next: new relationships, new friendships, and showing up as your best you.

Is this the same as coaching or organizing?

No. I’m not a generic coach, and I’m not only an organizer. The work blends conflict resolution, home and wardrobe decisions, and practical planning before, during, and after major life change. Beauty, order, and gratitude are practical tools for me, not decoration — which is why brands like Your Best You and Interior Environtherapy sit behind the work.

How do I start?

Book a free 20-minute fit call. We’ll see if we’re a good fit and which starting point makes sense. If we are, your first paid step is usually the Strategy Session. If the house is the main stuck point, we’ll point you to the Home Walkthrough or the lighter Home Tune-Up instead. If it’s your wardrobe, the Closet Edit is a good first step.

If you’re stuck in a life — or a home — that no longer fits, you don’t need more advice. You need your next three moves, in the right order.

Start with a free 20-minute fit call. It’s short, practical, and only about whether we’re a good fit and where to begin. If we are, your first paid step is usually the Strategy Session: 90 minutes, a written plan within two business days, and something concrete to act on right away.

I’m warm, clear, and composed under pressure. I’ll tell you the truth, kindly, and then help you act on it — alongside your attorney or therapist when you have one, never instead of them.
